TWO young men, on a joint robbery with violence charge, were yesterday granted $25,000 bail, each, by Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson. Brian Narine, 16, of Lot 85 Eccles Old Road, East Bank Demerara and Adrian Hernandez, 19, of Hosororo Hill, North West District, are charged indictably.
Particulars of the offence said, on August 28 last, they robbed Foster James of a cell phone valued $6,000 and $6,000 cash and, at the time or immediately before or after, used personal violence on him.
Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, said the two accused admitted robbing the virtual complainant of the phone but only $2,500 cash.
The accused have to be back in Court on November 16.
