A Town in the making

CHARITY IS a hub for many economic activities on the Essequibo Coast.
The Pomeroon River is the principal connection with Charity, whose residents go there for their weekly supply of food, services and other business activities.

Bearing this in mind, Government must sit down and draw up a proper plan as to how this place must be outlined and developed.
The waterfront where the wharf went down into the river is still an open area awaiting a replacement of another wharf.
The marketing centre wharf is incomplete; recently it was rehabilitated. The car park is an important aspect to be fixed and the market area needs regulated. The police station is sandwiched between stalls which compromise the security aspect of proper policing.
I truly think that the plan known as the Barkley Plan must be revisited.
