Thompson remanded on murder charge

MAGISTRATE Hazel Octave-Hamilton yesterday remanded Mark Thompson to prison when he appeared in court charged with murder. Thompson was not required to plead to the charge which said on August 7 he murdered Jose Rodriguez D’Oliviera.
He will remain in prison until September 29 when he will make another appearance at the Bartica court.
And Chaitram Guyadeen (no address given either), appeared in the same court charged with attempted murder and was refused bail as well.
Guyadeen was not required to plead to the charge that said on August 4 he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Parbattie Guyadeen with intent to murder her.
He will remain in prison until August 16.
