Two suspects are in custody following a knife-point robbery on Sunday night at Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara.
Police said at about 21:30 hrs that night, Ravi Biswah, 19, was at the Mon Repos seawall, when he was held up by two men, one of whom was armed with a knife. The men took away a silver chain, a silver band and a bicycle from Biswah and escaped.
The police responded promptly to the report and investigations led to the arrest of the two suspects last night at Beterverwagting, also on the East Coast Demerara.
All of the stolen articles were recovered as well as the knife suspected to have been used during the robbery.
The two suspects have been identified by the victim and are in police custody. Charges are expected to be made shortly.
