Unlicensed guns, unearthed in houses at Lancaster and Sophia

FOUR men are in police custody following the discovery of an unlicensed gun and ammunition at a house in Lancaster Village, Corentyne, Berbice on Monday last. Police said at about 12:20 hours the police carried out a search at the house where they found an unlicensed .38 revolver with three matching rounds.
Four men were arrested and are in police custody and charges will be made shortly.
Meanwhile, two persons are in police custody following a search at a dwelling house on Sunday last.
Police said at about 16:30 hours they conducted a search on a house at ‘B’ Field, Sophia, Greater Georgetown, during which, an unlicensed .32 Taurus revolver with six matching rounds was found.
A man and a woman were arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations, police said.
