Mr. Chandra Narine Sharma, Leader of the Justice For All Party (JFAP), congratulates Guyana on the 176th Anniversary after the abolition of slavery and says there is still plenty to learn from the African Slave Trade. Mr. Sharma is urging all Guyanese to understand the affections of pain and suffering of what the African Ancestors endured in those days of slavery. The young generation of today should be aware of their history including their culture and traditions handed down by their ancestors from Africa and the youth can empower themselves by practising the culture of their fore parents who strive and fought all odds to preserve what they brought from their home land Africa.
The Afro-Guyanese have played a significant role in the development of the country sine 1834and praise must go out to the forefathers who displayed strength and courage.
Happy Emancipation day to all Guyanese!
