Two Dellons remanded to prison on different charges

DELLON James, 20, of Lot 19 Victoria, East Coast Demerara, was one of two Dellons remanded to prison yesterday by Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson.
James pleaded not guilty to unlawfully assaulting Romona Saunders the day before.

The defendant told the Court he was in the front seat of a minibus and the virtual complainant, who wanted it, refused to move and he pulled her out of the vehicle by her hands.
However, Saunders said she was seated first and the defendant forced her out because she did not surrender the seat to him.
James has to be back for trial on July 12.
The other Dellon, 30, whose surname is Robertson, too, denied an unlawful assault charge, which said he assaulted his reputed wife, Amanda James, on July 1.
The woman said she had gone to inform the defendant that her baby was sick and he became annoyed and slapped her.
The defendant (no address given) claimed he did not hit the virtual complainant but was refused bail, pending a July 12 probation report on the case.
