Two persons were reportedly killed and some 14 others seriously injured when a minibus with RUSAL workers collided with a Forestry vehicle close to the waterfront at Kwakwani  in Region Ten last evening.

One of the dead persons is Herman Wade.
Heavy rainfall hindered the evacuation of the injured to the city, but a Guyana Defence Force helicopter and an aircraft piloted by Captain Gerry Gouveia last night brought them to the Ogle Airport on the East Coast Demerara.
They were then rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
