Entrepreneurial Skills Programme entry test starts June 12 in Region 2

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, in collaboration with the Region Two administration, will be conducting entry tests across the region from June 12 to select successful candidates for its entrepreneurial skills training programme.
According to Senior Youth and Sports Officer of the region, Mr Darshand Persaud, the test will begin on June 12 at Lima Sands Primary School, while on the 14th , it will be held at the Charity Neighbourhood Democratic (NDC) office.

Persaud said on June 19,  the test will be held at Wakapou Primary School and on the 26th , at Kabakaburi in the upper Pomeroon River.
On July 3rd the entry test will be held at CV Nunes Primary School at Anna Regina and July 10th July at Good Hope Primary School.
Persaud said on July 17, the test will be held at New Opportunity Corps and Huis t’ Dieren Primary School.
According to the officer, skills training programmes offered are Business Studies, Carpentry, Electrical installation, Joinery, Masonry, Motor Mechanics, Welding and fabrication.
Persaud said the programme targets youths between the ages of 16 and 25 years.
The course will last 10 months and students will be required to live in at the Kuru Kuru Training College on the Soesdyke Linden Highway.
Students will be given free meals and a small stipend while training.
