The police are investigating the death of Evelyn Daniels, 63, of Matthews’ Ridge, North West District (NWD), which occurred at about 12:30 hrs yesterday at the Amerindian Hostel, Princes Street, Georgetown.
Police reported that Daniels reportedly came to Georgetown on May 26, 2010, to seek medical attention and was residing at the Hostel.
At about 12:30 hrs yesterday, another resident of the Hostel saw her cutting her throat with a knife and raised an alarm. Daniels was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival
