In Region Two…
THE Government of Guyana, through the Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam) capital works programme, is constructing another concrete culvert in the town of  Anna Regina, to boost drainage.
Workmen were yesterday busy casting the foundation of the steel reinforced structure, which, when completed, will benefit the residential areas of South Anna Regina, the Regional Administration compound and part of the commercial centre.
Several more projects are being undertaken, mainly in the rice growing sections to improve drainage and irrigation (D&I) for farmers.
