“OUT of evil cometh good.” The everyday volumes of bold faced/brass faced lies and distortions of facts and attempts to rewrite history are for the want of a more descriptive word, ‘hogwash’, but then such can only come from those with animal’s mentality. For instance the column in KN dated 13-04-2010 by Freddie Kissoon titled ‘Sugar workers need to abandon GAWU’ leaves one to be very sympathetic towards the case of this columnist, but to this I say no more for Mr. Akbar Khan’s reply in your April 24, 2010 issue dispelled all doubts others may have as to the facts of this matter except to say Mr. Winslow Carrington did not live very much long after. Maybe the harsh treatment meted out to him by Mr. Burnham took toll on him.
But then in as much as I do not welcome these fictitious articles I think they serve the purpose in allowing the young people to read and get the real facts when those of us that were actually there are still around to explain to them the real truth and nothing but the truth.
You see every time people open their historical baggage and try to rewrite history it allows the honest people to put the facts of the matter in its true perspective and exonerate those that they so viciously try to malign much to their disgust.
