IT is unimaginable that adults, parents of young children could engage in sexual abuse of young innocent children in our society. How could some people assist child molesters and also seek to prevent them from being prosecuted for such crimes?
We need to make the laws sufficient to deal with these criminals and their accomplices including those who aid and abet child molesters.
Guyana must be a society in which children are allowed to grow up free from the scourge of abuses. We need our children to be given the opportunity to realize their full potential in a child friendly environment.
The churches and community leaders have an important role in addressing this issue and they should spear no moment to go after those engaged in sexual molestation of our children.
