THREE vision impaired members of the Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) programme in Queenstown, on Essequibo Coast, are, currently, delivering lectures at schools across Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam).
The CBR Office said ‘Prevention, attitude and care for vision impaired’ is the topic on which Mr. Lloyd Griffith, Ms. Paulette Dainty and Mr. Seedat Katwaroo, all blind, are lecturing.
In an interview with the Guyana Chronicle, Katwaroo, who is totally blind, said the series is conducted annually with the focus on educating schoolchildren on how to care and help sight handicapped persons.
He said Griffith, who is also sightless, had been Headmaster of Anna Regina Multilateral School for several years.
