Lil Champs show off

–Sabha’s two-day event still on
THE TROUPE, including Lil Champs Hemant, Shreyasi and Yatharth, Afsha Musani, Raja Hassan and musicians coming out of Mumbai India will not be  performing at the National Stadium Providence.
According to a statement from the organizers, the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha,

the promoter, Mr. Malhoe of Suriname  — who was introduced to them by Mr Samtani, and on whose advice and persuasion they entered into an agreement to bring the Lil Champs — informed them at the last minute that the artistes would not be coming after all.
He told them that the entire troupe had missed their interconnecting flight yesterday from Delhi to Holland and Suriname due to heavy air traffic, and that their plane had been in the air for two hours and unable to land so the troupe could get to the check-in counter before it closed.
According to the Sabha, they were given all assurances by the promoter that the troupe would be on another flight and arrive in Suriname at around 5pm yesterday.
“We were asked that their performance be postponed to Sunday evening instead,” the statement reads. “The events were out of the Sabha’s control. The Sabha agreed to this to allow all Guyanese to still enjoy the performers from India.
“Unfortunately, we were told today [that’s yesterday] that the flights were full and that the artistes are unable to get any more out of India. All the children and the other artistes were at the airport for two days and are disappointed as we of the Sabha are in the outcome.”
According to the statement, two of the children fell sick and had to receive medical attention. “We were all prepared for their outstanding performances and invested heavily in preparations.  We explored every avenue available to us to get them here to no avail. Dharmic Sabha successfully got alternative arrangements to travel outside of the promoter and ZEETV, but we were informed that the children had returned to their respective homes in various parts of India. As such, they will not get to Guyana on time, in spite of our arrangements.”
But all is not lost, the Sabha said, as they are in discussion with ZEETV to have the Lil Champs come to Guyana at the earliest opportunity, and will be keeping the public posted on the outcome of their talks.

Meanwhile, the would like the public to know that all those who bought VIP tickets will be fully refunded. Persons can present their VIP tickets to the Kendra on Tuesday at 10:00am  or on Sunday at the Stadium for a refund.
In addition, six persons can gain entry to either day’s show with one VIP ticket. All $300 tickets and car passes, the Sabha says, are valid for today’s show.
