Brazilian miner stabbed in rum shop row

The police are investigating the murder of Brazilian miner, Goncalver DaSilva, 30, which occurred at about 14:30 hrs on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Black Water Backdam, Mazaruni.
Investigations revealed that Da Silva and two other Brazilian men were drinking at a shop when an argument broke out and he was stabbed.
He was taken to the Bartica Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
