Media X1 to face EBCA in T20 cricket match

THE Media XI will be looking to make it two out of two, when they oppose an East Bank Cricket Association (EBCA) X1 in a 20/20 cricket match at the Police Sports Club ground Eve Leary on Thursday. Former national first class batsman Rohan Sarjoo who is also the president of  the EBCA, will lead that side which also includes former national youth batsman and former president of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Alfred Mentore.

The Media will be captained by former national youth off-spinner Sean Devers and includes former Essequibo under-19 batsman Rovindra Madholall and this match is the first in a series of  matches leading up to their big clash with a Guyana Cricket Board X1 at the Guyana National Stadium in July for a winner take-all $50,000 prize and trophy.

The Media team is scheduled to play another T20 match next week against an East Coast Cricket Board (ECCB) X1 at a venue to be decided.
