JUSTICE Winston Patterson, in Berbice High Court on Friday last, granted attempted murder accused Ravi Mohanram Narinedath $200,000 bail.

The grant was on a petition, presented by Senior Counsel Marcel Crawford, which said Narinedath, of Lot 61 ‘C’ Bush Lot, West Coast Berbice, is the sole breadwinner of his family and, as a result of his incarceration, his dependants are experiencing severe hardship.

The allegation against the freed prisoner is that, last January 1, he drove his motor car, PHH 8624, in a menacing manner, unlawfully and maliciously inflicting bodily harm on Surindranauth Chattergoon, with intent to commit the capital offence.
