THE Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) has called up a 40-man squad to begin preparation for the North America Caribbean Rugby Association’s (NACRA) 15-a-side Under-19 championship which is scheduled for the Bahamas from August 14 to 21. The championship is also expected to attract teams from Cayman Islands, Mexico, Bermuda, Bahamas, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
The squad will go through their paces every Tuesday and Thursday from 16:30 h and on Saturdays from 16:00 h, under the guidance of national Under-19 coach Clinton Clarke who will be assisted by Cornel Millington.
The 40 players called to trials are: Akeem Benn, Alister Peters, Allain Crawford, Carl Lewis, Christopher Nichols, Clinton Mars, Clive Richmond, Colwyn McKoy, Dane Peters, Dennis Alexander, Dwayne Jackson, Grantley Williams, Jamal Adams, Jarel Canzius, Jermaine Abel, Jermaine Jacobs, Joseph Weatherspoon, Jumoke David, Kevin Joseph, Kevin Nichols, Kevon David, Kipil Lakra, Levi Chase, Mark Burnett, Mark Massiah, Moarrio Whyte, Nichols Northey, Richard Hoenkirk, Rickell Lindie, Rickford Cummings, Ronald Lilly, Rondell McArthur, Rudolph Ogle, Ryan Goodluck, Terry Adams, Treon Emptage, Trevor Mathieson, Twain Hemerding, Vallon Adams and Yannick Jones.
