All systems in place for National Grade Six examinations

SUPERINTENDENT of Examinations, Ms. Juliet Persico, yesterday told the Guyana Chronicle that all systems are in place for a smooth flow of this year’s National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) examinations.
She said, “I am confident that we will have a smooth running of the exams.”

According to the Superintendent of Examinations, supervisors for 400 centers across the country have been trained and are prepared to have the national tests facilitated.
“They were trained in March and are prepared to have the exams,” Persico said.
She added that the Ministry of Education is making every effort to ensure that the NGSA is administered under the best possible condition for the pupils who will be writing the examination on March 31 and April 1.
In excess of 18,000 pupils from primary schools countrywide will be writing the NGSA in four subject areas; Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and English Language.
