MINISTER of Human Services and Social Security, Ms. Priya Manickchand has announced that, in two months time, Guyana will host a Women’s Trade Fair.
She said the purpose of the venture is to expose women producers and their products to new markets.
Manickchand said the event will also provide an opportunity for women to voice concerns and share the difficulties they have in both producing and marketing their products.
“Government will be able to work with this body of producers, these women, to help them to stay self-sufficient and continue to take care of the children who depend on them,” she stated.
Manickchand said the location where the exposition is to be staged will be disclosed shortly.
