Dale Archer, 20, of D Fourth Field Sophia was Monday remanded to prison on a charge of larceny from the person.
He appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson and pleaded not guilty to the charge, which stated that on January 25, he stole one gold chain valued at $200,000 from Carlotta Abrahams.     The virtual complainant said she was inside a minibus when the defendant pushed his hand through the window and snatched her chain.
The defendant denied the allegation and claimed that he was in a minibus when a police officer arrested him for snatching the virtual complainant’s chain.
Archer was refused bail and will return to court on February 17.
