Guyanese designer Derek Moore is using his special talents to create Mashramani costumes for all shapes and sizes for Mashramani 2010.
Moore is working along with Ashmin’s Trading to create costumes for persons who would like to participate in the Mashramani parades but who do not wish to wear skimpy costumes. The designer is achieving this goal with the use of materials and T-shirts already available at Ashmin’s.
The designer will use these with beads, sequins and braid and spangles creating a “colourful, carnival-like effect”.
Moore, who hasn’t as yet settled on a place for the “Mash Camp” said some of his costumes will be on display on Mannequins at Ashmin’s Trading from Friday.
