Ansa McAL spreads joy to Christmas Day mothers

Spreading joy and honouring mothers of Christmas Day babies has been a tradition of ANSA McAL Trading Limited as it celebrates its 11th year distributing Cheekies hampers at various hospitals around Georgetown including the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), Davis Memorial, Woodlands, Mercy and Medical Arts.

In this annual ‘Cheekies Bundle of Joy’ celebration mothers of Christmas Day new-born babies were presented with a hamper of “Cheekies diapers”.

Brands Manager of ANSA McAL Trading Limited, Marco Kreuter expressed pleasure at being able to help new mothers and said that ANSA McAL will continue this venture in 2010 and beyond.

This year, two hospitals were visited; the GPHC where they had eight new born babies and at Medical Arts with just one.

The first baby, a boy was born to 23 year-old Jewel Bacchus of East Ruimveldt at 01:30hrs on Christmas Day at GPHC and for the first time since ANSA McAL Trading Limited has been doing this, a father was present.

Jewel Bacchus’s baby was followed by seven girls mothered by Sabrina Antonio, 23, of Bel Air Village at 02:00hrs, Shaundell Schultz, 28, of Bent Street Wortmanville at 02:15hrs, Tiffany Williams,19, of Hyde Park Timehri at 04:05hrs, Tiffany Chester,18, of Mon Repos ECD at 04:25hrs, Onika Ellis, 26, of Betterhope ECD at 05:30hrs, Shevon Mussender, 22, of Bachelor’s Adventure ECD at 09:00hrs and Agnes Herman age 36 of Mahdia at 10:00hrs respectively.

While at Medical Arts Hospital a lone girl was born to Bonita Fernandes, 26, of Success ECD at 8:40hrs.

ANSA McAL Trading Limited also showed appreciation to the staff of these public and private hospitals for supporting their initiative over the years by presenting them with gifts.

Last Christmas, 10 mothers were the recipients of ‘Cheekies Bundle of Joy’ hampers.
