THE Salvation Army (SA), true to its theme ‘Sharing is Caring’ and in the spirit of Christmas, took cheer to children’s homes and hospital wards, among other places, on Sunday.

Continuing the Yuletide practice the institutions visited were Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) and Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre, where patients and shut-ins were entertained to carol singing and given gifts.

Last week, apart from the main Christmas Hampers Distribution Programme which caters for some 500 at its Citadel Headquarters, SA personnel went to Archer’s Home, Gentle Women’s Home, Dharam Shala, The Palms and the SA’s Bent Street Women’s Home.
The visits are being coordinated by Major Marie Theodore, Divisional Director of Women’s Ministries.
