FOUR persons were injured on Saturday when a minibus and a motor car collided on Independence Road, La Grange, West Bank Demerara.
Bearing the brunt of the injuries is former Police Sergeant William Primo, 62, of Lot 131 Bagotville, also on the West Bank of Demerara. He is still in a serious condition at Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).

Injured on his neck, both legs and two fingers, he is also complaining of pains in the upper region of his body.
Speaking from his hospital bed yesterday, Primo, who suffered a whiplash and is wearing a neck brace, said he had joined the bus, BLL 6759, at the Demerara Harbour Bridge (DHB) for the journey home.
On the way, the collision involved a Toyota AT 192 that was turning off the main West Demerara thoroughfare to proceed West into Independence Road.
Primo said the left rear of the bus hit the front right of the car and, on impact, the bus was flung into a nearby trench.
He said the driver, conductor and two others were in the bus but he was not aware of the extent of their injuries.
