EIGHTEEN-YEAR-OLD Roger Grant will spend Christmas and New Year’s in prison after being charged with robbery under arms.
Before Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton, the accused, of Lot 3561 Stevedore Housing Scheme, Georgetown, was not required to plead to the indictable charge.
It is alleged that, on November 29, at gunpoint, he robbed Shawayne Rhius of two cellular phones, gold jewellery and snacks, all worth $93,000.
According to Prosecutor, Police Sergeant Shellon Daniels, the virtual complainant was selling sweets at the entrance to Stevedore Housing Scheme when Grant lashed him on his face with the gun and fled with the booty.
The remanded prisoner will be back in Court January 8.
