FRUTA Conquerors drubbed Uprising 7-0 when play in the Georgetown Football Association/DeSinco Trading Under-19 tournament continued last Saturday with three matches at two venues.
Playing at home at the Tucville ground, Travis Savory and Warren Lawrence both recorded doubles for the winners. Savory scored in the 9th and 25th minutes while Lawrence found his target in the 11th and 24th minutes.
However, it was Paul Bobb who opened the floodgates for the home side with a 1st minute goal.
Six minutes later Mikael Termaul extended the lead and after Savory and Lawrence scored the first of their goals, Eon Allen made it 5-0.
Savory and Allen subsequently registered their other goals to give Fruta Conquerors a commanding 7-0 lead at the interval.
Over at the Camptown ground, Riddim Squad edged Flamingo 1-0 compliments of an Amos Ramsey 34th minute goal.
In the other match that was billed for the same venue, Alpha United emerged victorious without breaking a sweat as opponents Black Pearl failed to make an appearance for the second consecutive time.
They (Black Pearl) have since been eliminated from the tournament.
Round Robin action in the competition will continue today at the GFC ground with a double-header.
