Twin fashion concepts

SEAN and Sherlon James came on the fashion scene with a bang last year, driving audiences wild at Guyana Fashion Weekend 2008 and again this year at Guyana Fashion Weekend 2009.

The identical twin brothers, who celebrated their 16th birthday last week, coveted the Designer of the Year Award at only 15 years old.

Glamour and a love of nature mix in environmentally conscious pieces, which are made mainly of plain white cotton dyed in jungle green, leaf green and tartan green.

Today we share with you some of the pieces they presented last month at GFW 2009.

This artsy number modelled by Leelawattie mixes body fitting Spandex with loads of ruffle. A long train complements the dress’ mini front.

The use of ruffles lend style and class to a simple cotton shirt. Matching cotton trousers give a stylish monochromatic look to this outfit modelled by Keiton Nelson, and is complemented by Leelawattie’s dress.

Leelawattie pulls off this daring outfit with panache.

Here, a short spandex mini with a windowed side combines nicely with ruffled train and tibisiri hat to add even more drama to the ensemble.

Here, Keiton shows off the versatility of his outfit by trading his Western styled shirt for a ruffled kurta top. A tibisiri hat worn at a jaunty angle adds extra Caribbean flair.
