Stepdaughter denies that biological father had fabricated case

UNDER cross-examination at the Demerara Assizes yesterday, a 14-year-old girl who claimed that she was raped by her stepfather Patrick Narine when she was only seven-years-old, denied that the allegations she made about the accused, had been dictated to her by her biological father.

But in answer to further questions by Attorney-at-Law, Roger Yearwood, representing Accused Patrick Narine, the victim now 14-years-old admitted, “I prefer to live with my biological father and my mother than with my mother and stepfather.”

The victim, who had already given evidence, was the first person to be called for cross-examination at the resumption yesterday.

Her biological father was listed as the next person to answer questions.
Further hearing is continuing.
