I doubt the police and the fire service will find any clue with the fire bombing of the Ministry of Health Headquarters on Brickdam.
On Tuesday January 15, 2008, occupants of a well known business premises threw or caused to be thrown at my premises Molotov cocktails with the expressed criminal intent of burning down my premises twice. The aforementioned actions are criminal in nature and have exposed the perpetrators to considerable criminal penalty, one year after this act no one was held or even questioned although the police knew who they were.
Editor, the aforementioned act of harassment was not an isolated incident but part of a daily pattern of harassment to which me and family has been subjected to by the known criminal and their acquaintances. For this reason, I do not believe that I can rely on the local police to rescue me anytime. Although the police have apparently been doing their job I still have no confidence in them. I feel compelled to report the matter to the media since my matter seems to be a cold case.
These matters were also reported to the police and the fire service, which arrived to investigate, but no one was ever identified although they had all the evidence. It had been more than 20 times that I had the cause to report incidents, including attempted burglaries of my property at the Anna Regina Police Station, it is shocking and shameful that these perpetrators would want to burn down my house since I am incapacitated and lives alone with my wife.
Multiple attempts by these same people to enter my home unannounced were foiled each time, since I have installed an alarm system which goes off once an intruder crosses any of my entrances. I am now calling on President Bharrat Jagdeo and the Commissioner of Police to investigate my matter and arrest those who were involved with the intent of burning down my house.
