Attempts to redeem Khemraj continues

Mr. GERHARD Ramsaroop’s letter in Kaieteur News on June 10, 2009, captioned, “An impressive level of emptiness” has surely amused me and it seems as if his caption has ricochet upon his own writings.

I hope Mr. Ramsaroop’s curiosity as to know who I am, is not an attempt to take me out on a date.

I admire Mr. Ramsaroop’s attempt to redeem Dr. Khemraj’s name but like he said, Khemraj can speak for himself. I want to say that there is nothing wrong with a debate, since it engenders positive changes and facilitates the correction of mistakes.

However, Khemraj still lacks the capacity to consider other people’s opinions and he also refuses to accept that Guyana has achieved much growth and development, whether he likes it or not. Should he continue along this line, then he will only hurt himself even more since this is not the correct approach towards a healthy debate, especially when it is an attempt to solve problems to continue nation building within Guyana.

Khemraj needs to put his personal feelings aside and stick to the facts and stop streamlining amateurs to redeem his name. Maybe, only then, will he be able to positively contribute towards Guyana’s development.
