Apsara returns to the NCC

The Apsara Dance group, buoyed by their successful performance at the National Culture Centre some three weeks ago, and backed by popular demand, will again perform at the same venue on June 22.

Director of the group, Mrs. Chandini Ramnarain, said the post Father’s Day show, titled “Apsara Reload” aims to give theater goers who missed the first presentation a change to witness their “breath taking” performances.

The previous show at the NCC was sold out before it was advertised.

According to Ramnarain, the upcoming concert will be a more intense, compact programme with enhanced sets, choreography, and glamorous costumes.

“The Apsara group will once again leave you spellbound and mesmerised by their elegant and fast paced dances, with a wide array of different dance styles – classical, filmi, Arabian, hip-hop, fusions, semi-classical, Latin/tango, and their hilarious skits, equally appealing to the old and young generation,” she told the Guyana Chronicle.

The young Director also said the audience will be treated to another outstanding performance by the upcoming musical artiste, Jessica Xavier.
