President was fulfilling his duties towards Guyanese

I write in response to “An open letter to President Bharrat Jagdeo” on Tuesday, June 02, by Clarence F. Ellis, in the Kaieteur Newspaper.

The President was contemptuously described as being “on the high horse” as he dutifully questions the Barbadian government’s security policy as it relates to the safety of Guyanese in Barbados.

Clarence F. Ellis is well known for his lengthy sagas which lose their point of focus shortly after the first few lines. He desperately attempts to connect the country’s infrastructural issues with the President’s intervention for the protection of Guyanese in Barbados.

Throughout the globe people are migrating everyday for various reasons, it is no different in Guyana, this does not make them any less Guyanese. Naturally, Guyanese will share concern for the way fellow Guyanese are being treated, in not only Barbados but in other countries as well.

Once again Ellis has managed to lose his argument by paralleling two issues that are clearly not related to each other.

Mr. Ellis should try to be more concise, and then maybe his letters will stop taking its readers through a maze of unrelated ramblings.
