ANOTHER man appeared in Court yesterday charged with the murder of Guyana Power and Light (GPL) Chief Security Officer Clifford Peters. Paul James, 28, of Lot 43 Joseph Pollydore Street, Lodge, appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson and was remanded to prison through June 5. The charge for the capital offence said James unlawfully killed Peters last May 4. The prisoner was the second accused to face a charge for the same killing, after Arnim Griffith, 22, of Lot 17 West Ruimveldt, who is to be back in Court the same day, at the request of Police Inspector Denise Griffith, prosecuting.
The victim was shot dead while aiding the removal of illegal electricity connections at Lamaha Park, also in Georgetown.
