I’ve noted that the injunction to prevent the show at the Starlite Drive-in on Saturday last was thrown out. Sure enough, the show proceeded into the wee hours of Sunday morning. From advertisements in the media, we are also expecting another assault on May 16!
How long must residents endure this unfairness?
This venue was not intended for the purpose it is currently being used. If so, I’m almost certain that it would not have been erected in close proximity of residential communities.
The staging of these concerts at this venue, despite the protest of the residents, gives a feeling of hopelessness in the law. If the authorities do not act on our behalf, who will?
I observed with much alarm, that some people were taking young children to the show. As disheartening as that was however, that was their choice. On the other hand, there are those of us who prefer to not have our children exposed to such vulgarity. By hosting such shows at this inappropriate venue, Mr. Promoter is forcing into our homes content that would otherwise not make its way there.
I wish to emphasise that it is totally unfair for some promoter to be profiting from the discomfort of so many people and do implore the authority to put an end to this lawlessness.
Some of us can care less why Radika left!
