Mother of two drops dead at Baramita

A WOMAN reportedly dropped dead on Saturday at Baramita, in the North West District (NWD), after frothing from the mouth while she, her reputed husband and two children were on their way to a shop to purchase food.

Dead is Vanessa Davis, 22, of Golden City Backdam, Baramita. Reports indicate that her reputed husband, Tishon Thomas, 21, a gold miner, left home for work at about 09:50 hrs. After he returned at around 17:00 hrs, the couple reportedly left with their two children, aged six and eight months, to buy foodstuff.

Reports are that while on the way, Davis, a housewife, complained of having a severe headache, and no sooner had she begun experiencing a shortness of breath, than she collapsed and started to froth at the mouth.

Rendered motionless by then, she was reportedly picked up by a relative and taken to the hospital.
Word, however, is that on the following day, Davis’s reputed husband went to the Baramita Police Station to report that she had died, and when the body was escorted to the Baramita Health Centre, the Resident Medex confirmed that she was indeed dead.

The latest on the matter is that the body will be transported to the Port Kaituma Mortuary for storage, pending an autopsy as investigations continue.
