POLITICAL activist, Malcolm Haripaul has claimed that his mother’s house at Bella Dam, Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara, was defaced with faeces by a suspected supporter of the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C).

Harripaul, in a Facebook post, said the suspect threw the faeces at his 75-year-old mother’s window on Thursday.
“He lives next door and had just got home from the rumshop and started cursing and rambling about chase them out,” said Harripaul.

He confirmed that a police report was made but the police have not been able to apprehend the suspect.
In 2017, Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman sentenced Freedom House operative, Jason Abdulla, to six months’ imprisonment for throwing faeces on newspaper columnist and social activist, Frederick Kissoon, after finding him guilty of the charge.

According to a report, Kwame McCoy, former Liaison Officer to the President, during the tenure of the PPP/C, and Sean Hinds, had the matter against them dismissed after the magistrate found them not guilty of committing the offence.
