JUST a few weeks after being charged in connection with an assault matter, popular make-up artist Lolita Callender was on Monday back before a city magistrate to face another assault charge, this time against another popular make-up artist.

It was alleged that on April 6, 2018 at Leopold Street, Lolita Callender, 27, popularly known as ‘Lola’ of East Ruimveldt Housing Scheme, inflicted grievous bodily harm on Onika Pompey.

According to Police Prosecutor Arwin Moore both parties are known to each other but are not on speaking terms. On the day in question, there was a misunderstanding between the two which resulted in a fight.

Moore explained that Pompey received injuries about her body including bite marks.
28-year-old Pompey of Bel Air, Georgetown was also charged with unlawfully wounding Callender on the same day.

Callender told the court that she lost five fingernails during the fight.
They both denied the charges read out to them in court by Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman.

They were both released on $80,000 bail each and the matters were adjourned to April 17, 2018.
