An 11-year-old student of St Therese Primary Student succumbed at the New Amsterdam Hospital on Monday morning, after she reportedly ingested some tablets.

While the family remains tightlipped about the incident, this newspaper understands that the young girl drank the tablets at the home of her parents at Fort Ordinance Housing Scheme.

The school has put up a black flag as students and teachers mourn her death.
