ANDREW Morgan (no address given) faced charges of abusive language and disorderly behaviour before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, yesterday.
He pleaded not guilty to both, which alleged that, on Thursday, June 13, in Garnett Street, Newtown, Georgetown, he abused a sergeant and behaved in a disorderly manner at Kitty Police Station.
Morgan told the court, that night, he and his wife were on the road when she wanted to answer an urgent call of nature and decided to use the nearby bush.
He said the sergeant came and enquired what they were doing and, although he tried to explain the situation, the policeman insisted on shining a torchlight in the woman’s direction.
Morgan was fined $10,000 for the two offences.
