Alcoholic found dead with smashed head

SIXTY-EIGHT-YEAR-OLD retired headmaster of Hampton Court, known as Takurdial and Johnny, was found dead on the Charity Public Road, Essequibo Coast,  Monday night.
His smashed head was in a pool of blood not far from the Charity Police Station, in the nursery school street.
Several residents said the man, who had become an alcoholic, was apparently intoxicated and sleeping on the roadway when he was ran over by a motor vehicle.  He was often seen lying asleep in a drunken state.
His body was discovered by an off duty police officer who was driving out of the street to the public road.
