Baramita students visit Amerindian Affairs Ministry, Prime Minister

FIFTEEN students of the Secondary Department of the Baramita Primary School, Region 1, yesterday visited the Ministry of Amerindian Affairs as part of a one – week school tour. The students met with Minister Pauline Sukhai who highlighted the work and programmes of the ministry.
The minister implored the students to strive for higher education to contribute to their personal and national development. The students were then given a tour of the various departments of the ministry and interacted with staff.
The students will spend the entire week in Georgetown and will be visiting other government ministries, private organisations and national sites in Georgetown.
The group also called on Prime Minister Samuel Hinds at his Wight’s Lane, Kingston Office.
