DEXTER Watson (no address given) and Jason Manbodh, of Lot 443 Middle Street, South Cummingsburg, Georgetown, appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday on a joint break and enter and larceny charge.
It is alleged that the two defendants, who pleaded not guilty, between August 20 and 27, at Supply, East Bank Demerara, broke into the dwelling house of James Samuels and stole one music set, one television set and $60,000, making a total loss of $2.1M to the virtual complainant.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, had no objection to bail but requested that it be substantial.
The magistrate set surety at $250,000 each and postponed the case to November 3.
