EVENTS in Guyana continue to amaze. Using the unfortunate attack on Mr. Clarke, Mr. Granger said that the attackers had to know he was the PNC’s general secretary and will not let this pass but will do a thorough investigation. After all, crime against a party official is not the same as a party follower. Does this mean he is now willing to support reforms with or without Rohee?  APNU MP Volda Lawrence moved a motion in the National Assembly for the government to use all resources to restore the city to its former glory, along with the M&CC.  Why now after the government is engaged in doing just that? Why stop with the sanitation and not with all the other problems the M&CC have had for decades?  A new awareness or a leap on the bandwagon (garbage truck)?.
 
It is amazing how quickly the new Chinese company investment is getting off the ground. Their investment is more than welcome. Nevertheless, one must be amazed how after this investment was first reported(?), that over 700 hundred people were hired with work starting on a large plot of land that they apparently were able to acquire  within a very short period of time. 
Unless, I missed other prior news, this has broken all records for the conception and implementation of a reasonable size Guyana investment. Perhaps, we need more Chinese investments, since most other investments take years if ever to start. Of course, earlier information of such possible deals would be nice.
