A THIRTY-NINE-YEAR-OLD labourer, of Lot 207 Alexander Street, Bourda, Georgetown, slapped with 10 charges, decided to change his plea to all before Magistrate Geeta Chandan-Edmond on Wednesday.
Orlando Grumble had first appeared in front of the magistrate on March 14 and pleaded not guilty to the accusations that day.

Particulars of the first two allegations said, on February 19, on Charlotte Street, also in Georgetown, he unlawfully assaulted and made use of abusive language to his reputed wife, Karen Bender, where a breach of the peace may be occasioned.
The others stated that, on March 13, in Alexander Street, he behaved disorderly in a public place and made use of abusive language to Kenrick Hodge, a peace officer.
Also on the same day, he unlawfully assaulted and resisted arrest by the said officer.
In addition to that, on March 13 in Regent Street, within public hearing, he made use of indecent language to another peace officer, Jonnel Shepherd.
More accusations
Three more accusations said, the same day on Regent Street, he, again, unlawfully assaulted and made use of abusive and threatening language to Karen Bender, where a breach of the peace may be occasioned.
Police Corporal Jomo Nichols, prosecuting, said the defendant and virtual complainant had shared a common law union and, on February 19, he committed the offences against Bender.
On March 13, he, again, committed similar offences against the woman and she made a report to the police. Grumble resisted arrest, made use of abusive language and assaulted Hodge, a peace officer acting in the execution of his duty.
Grumble admitted that, in 2006, he was sentenced to four years imprisonment for a robbery which he admitted committing.
He apologised for his misconduct and claimed it was the first time he hit Bender after they were together for a year and a half.
Magistrate Chandan-Edmond took all factors into consideration, which included that he breached a restraining order and the prevalence of domestic violence committed against women in today’s society before sentencing the convict.
Grumble was sentenced to three months on each assault committed on Bender and they will run consecutively.
In relation to the assault on Hodge and the other offences, the prisoner was sentenced to three months on each of those to run concurrently.
