THIRTY-EIGHT-YEAR-OLD Earl McKenzie was sentenced to three years imprisonment, by Magistrate Ann McLennan Wednesday, after he pleaded guilty, at Christianburg Court, to break and enter and larceny.
In the burglary at the store owned by Patricia Lewis, the prisoner stole 1l pairs of ‘Timberland’ shoes, valued $113,000.520; 25 pairs pants worth $77.000; three children’s tops priced at $1,750; eight jerseys costing $10,000; six track pants and one blue travelling bag, all to the value of $253,770.
None of the booty, from the Lot 337 Greenheart Street, Mackenzie business place was recovered.
According to the Police, the break-in took place between Saturday, April 4 and Monday, April 6.
McKenzie, of Lot 168 Glen Road, Old Kara Kara, also in Linden, was arrested after information was received linking him to the crime to which he confessed.
