EMPOWERING Guyanese to build sustainable livelihoods and achieve financial independence remains a key priority, Minister of Human Services and Social Security, Dr. Vindhya Persaud has said.
Recently, 10 individuals received appliances to help them kick-start or expand their small businesses through the Ministry’s START UP STRONG initiative, which is implemented by the Difficult Circumstances Unit (DCU).
Minister Persaud continues to champion self-reliance and economic empowerment by ensuring that persons are equipped with the tools and resources needed to turn their business ideas into income-generating opportunities.
Through the initiative, the Ministry is doing more than providing appliances. It is helping Guyanese take meaningful steps towards financial independence, personal growth and a more secure future.
The Ministry of Human Services and Social Security said it remains committed to supporting persons in difficult circumstances as they work towards building sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families.
