Minister of Labour Manzoor Nadir has announced that the agency made significant strides with fostering the employment of more than 2000 people in 2009.
“The employment rise above the 2000 mark has shown that the economy has been performing well and that persons, both employers and job-seekers, are placing much confidence in the services of the agency,” Minister Nadir stated.
The overwhelming majority of jobs are from the private sector and the job-seekers come from all sectors.
Minister Nadir attributed the success to the hard work of the staff and the positive responses to media and outreach campaigns during the past two years.
