THE Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) will host its Speedfest Superbike and Vitz Cup Track Day on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the South Dakota Circuit.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., with competitors set to take part in motorcycle and Vitz Cup sessions throughout the day.
Admission to the pit is $3,000 with venue entry free. The programme will get underway with participant arrival, registration and technical inspection from 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., followed by the riders’ and drivers’ briefing at 10 a.m.
A transponder check will take place at 10:25 a.m., before the first motorcycle and Vitz warm-up sessions. Qualifying and time-attack sessions will begin at 11:10 a.m., with the Street Bike class going first, followed by the Open Class and 600cc motorcycles.
Vitz Cup Classes A and B will then compete in their qualifying session from 11:40 a.m. Racing is scheduled to begin at 12:20 p.m. with Motorcycle Race 1 for the Street Class, followed by the Open Class and 600cc race at 12:40 p.m.
The first Vitz Cup race, featuring Classes A and B, will start at 1 p.m.
The second round of motorcycle and Vitz Cup races will take place during the afternoon.
The Street Class will return to the circuit at 1:25 p.m., followed by the Open Class and 600cc motorcycles at 1:45 p.m. Vitz Cup Race 2 is scheduled for 2:05 p.m.
The day will conclude with a presentation ceremony and photographs from 2:30 p.m. The event is expected to provide competitors with an opportunity to test their machines and compete in a structured track-day format, while giving spectators a full day of motorcycle and Vitz Cup action.
The GMR&SC has promoted the event under the slogan “No Speed Limits, No Excuses,” with the South Dakota Circuit again serving as the venue for the club’s racing activities.
